      ... cd from a future star I'm sure. We went to the opening ceremony and looked up at the stage not quite believing our luck. This was one of those moments where you feel completely content, like you're just in the moment and nothing else matters. Kasey Chambers was just unbelievable and she certainly gained 3 fans that evening. I did not stop smiling all day.       ... little town, very quaint. The drive there followed the river along the base of the valley. It is also home to a woollen mill that, earlier this year, won a tourism award. When we got there Mike Wittney and his film crew were filming it for an episode of "Sydney Weekender". Another 'gate crash' moment... We chose not to be part of the episode but watched them do the filming (takes and retakes galore) and then later, had a chat to him.

      A friend of a friend told us that Cloncurry had some large, cattle exchange yards, so after packing up, we drove to the yards. They weren't as full as they could be but there was a fella checking some young cattle when we arrived. Shortly after he left but did a U turn and came back. I think he may have thought we were cattle wranglers but never-the-less he was still kind enough to answer some of our question.       Flew in to Darwin and arrived at the Coconut Grove besser block apartments at 2 a.m. Not totally homely. Were a little alarmed by al the security advice urging us to engage locks which did not exist but managed to fall into black sleep anyway. just needed a sheet and gentle fan and had a little lie in.
