    ... Park to see the Baler Horse statue.
    A swim in the pool but the water was quite cold. There was a lady taken away in an ambulance today with minor symptons of dehydration.
    This afternoon it has got very windy and overcast, maybe we will cop a storm, so as we leave tomorrow, the awning has come down.
    Went out to the Longyard tonight ( a local pub) a great meal.

    ... the route would have been on fairly straight roads. There was a very pretty spot about 50 kms from Grafton looking down over a river which reminded us of Canada, minus the snow, huge mountains and Aqua water. The 160 kms took us just over 2 hours. If we had gone through Tenterfield it would have been 60 kms shorter so if up this way again, try the other way. Arrived at he park just before 4:30, Brian very happy to stop for the ...

    ... On route to Hunter Valley we lost our wing mirror, Tim ran off down the highway for about 1k in the searing 30+ degrees heat to retrieve it. It is now safely lying in the passenger footwell ("making memories"). This loss came at an unfortunate time, Penny (our campervan) having just reached her 300,000th kilometre (we had party poppers and hats to celebrate). Hunter Valley was our destination for some serious wine tasting. I would love to say this was a very classy affair ...

    ... low as well, but still quite a few people camping beside the water. One thing we have seen is a lot of the dams we are visiting are getting "safety upgrades" meaning that the walls are being strengthened and also raised to accommodate new data relating to "one in 100 year events" including floods AND earthquakes. So big dams are getting bigger, and stronger, and presumably, safer. ...

    ... before us bare as bare. I had walk up the street and got something from bakery. It was a pretty busy little main street.Then drove out to our stop for the night. very nice here. only 1 other van so far.

    Getting very excited as only 600klms from home. 2 more sleeps.
