Then it's back to the I-40 and cruising along towards Albuquerque eating up the miles. As we approach Albuquerque we deceive that we have time to carry on down the I-25 to Socorro, it's only another hour and it will mean we're an hour closer to where we want to be to tomorrow.

Secondly the inflated motel prices due to this fracking and we ended up paying way more here for accommodation than in any previous place. And we asked at loads of motels and e en though they were very empty the staff had no. Inclination what so ever to negotiate prices. We ended up paying $170 for the two rooms. ... and I headed south toward the University. We did however, make a quick pit stop in the town of Los Lunas, just outside of Albuquerque to get lunch at the town's Sonic! Being from Washington State where it seems to be in a constant rain storm, we don't really have any Sonics, and I've already seen three! After our quick lunch break we headed onward to Socorro, which is about 75 miles south of Albuquerque.
