We woke in solitude along the coast, then drove Highway 1 over the Golden Gate Bridge. We parked near the wharf and got a taste of San Fran during three hours riding a cable car, walking around residential and business areas, had a bite in a great french boulange. Of course, we had to stop at Ghiradelli Marketplace for some chocolates and cupcakes. After a crazy winding drive down Lombard street we bolted town.
