    ... were there first.

The last two days of the trip are pretty much driving with food stops. We had two 6-hour stretches and then a 2-hour stretch. To pass the time, we have still been listening to some audiobooks, but we’ve also been playing a game called Rubberneckers. It’s basically I-Spy for the car. We have to find everything from cars being pulled over to specific billboards to finding other people in their car singing or ...

Renzo, Cristian, and Daniel joined us a bit later and after Gene ...

... woman working there mouthed to me that they didn’t open for another 10 minutes and when I then asked if there was another gas station in the area, she became exasperated, shook her head, and then actually put her head in her hands and walked away! Gene had also stopped for gas and was nice enough to charge $20 on his own card for me to get gas.

Our lot today is at a city park right on the edge of a neighborhood, two blocks away from a gas station, six blocks from ...

It rained through the night but since we were all on pavement, leaving the lot was a piece of cake. It felt as though we were thumbing our noses at nature as we drove away without a single tire spin. When we arrived at our lot here in Westville, Alex and Tavo were parking us like sardines in the surrounding parking lots because the ground was way too soft to pull onto. They were in talks with the local sponsor to figure out another place to set up but the sponsor didn't ...
