    ... were there first.

The last two days of the trip are pretty much driving with food stops. We had two 6-hour stretches and then a 2-hour stretch. To pass the time, we have still been listening to some audiobooks, but we’ve also been playing a game called Rubberneckers. It’s basically I-Spy for the car. We have to find everything from cars being pulled over to specific billboards to finding other people in their car singing or ...

This was a very different kind of park. First of all it is huge-over 2,800 acres. Again, we were very glad to have our scooter instead of our bikes. After getting a ride back to the lot with those guys, we walked back up to the library for some free wifi and a chance to peruse their book sale. I’ve been told for a while now that I would love her writing so I’m finally reading her and of course, I’m loving every word ...

A travel blog entry by clara.sayre on May 11, 2014

No show day today! I don't know if it’s because it’s Mother’s Day or what, but I’ll take it. We left our lot in Oxford this morning at 6:30am, but this time, I drove by myself because Beth and John were taking off for Peru, IN to visit the Circus Hall of Fame for the day. I stopped for some gas at the first gas station I saw, but when I went up to the doors, I realized they weren’t open yet. My card doesn’t work at the pump so I have to prepay ...

... to be here. So there was about a half hour there where we weren’t sure if we were going to be able to stay on the lot or move again. Fortunately the sponsor came back to the lot, struck a deal with the owner and everyone lived happily ever after. The End.

It rained a little but not as badly as it did last night. The midway was pretty soupy so John directed people to the gate so that they would avoid the mud holes. I chatted with the city clerk who was ...
