    ... did spot a couple of whales very far out to sea and called it quits after about 7km. We returned home to do a little planning for a possible visit by our family, Ross, Jen and Heather. Tomorrow, with rain predicted, we head north towards Byron Bay. Not sure how far we will get or where we will stay as we have been warned that holiday parks will get busier as we near Queensland and the Gold Coast.

    ... and I got invited to go sewing with the Coffs Fresh Sewers and Quilters the following Sunday, we drove past a Spotlight and a quilting shop on the way to the park and since we we staying put for a week, Ken put up the annexe for me to sew in !!

    Bliss, absolute bliss !

    For the week I was there, I visited Spotlight 4 times, ( I think Ken only knows about 2 trips lol ), got a quilt top sewn up for a soliders (Aussie Hero Quilts) and had a relaxing ...

    ... stuck and not be able to get into the van. So we do a quick Dr Google and discover that replacement handles are available at a caravan service centre in Coffs Harbour. So change of plans we drive on to Coffs Harbour. The drive to Coffs is great, lots to see, a personal favourite is the big Prawn in Ballina (of which Amy wasn't so sure wasn't a giant 'krill'...just to be difficult). We pass through Km's of sugar ...

    ... there was no one around so I popped into the info centre located at the bus station to get hold of their phone number and pick up a map. The lady behind the counter kindly offered to call them for me after telling me how unusual it was for the bus to be on time.
