      ... our friend Daleth is coming to town to spend the day with Cath and the kids, and Friday we leave. Next we are off to port Macquarie, but with a deep low and floods in Sydney atm, we may delay leaving here to enjoy it a bit more, as all we've had is sunshine and storms.       ... course in an hour and Jane is clearly determined not to return the canoe any later than one hour on the dot. Out of mischief, just at the end, I steer us onto a gravel bank, midstream and we arrive back 25 seconds late, she glares at me as if I have spoilt her opportunity for selection but agrees that it had been good fun.

      Now getting in the boat didn't seem to be a problem, but getting out was another story. Jane tried first and couldn't achieve lift ...

      ... and are traveling round for a month they had lots of tips of how to extend our stay, one of them being to travel with the guy near them in the caravan park who had a sign in his caravan that he was looking for a wife!! Hmm perhaps not!! Had an ice cream on the harbour front before slowly trudging back to our room feet killing us we collapsed for a couple of hours and then nipped out to get a pizza - have a very long day ahead of us ...

      ... to Byron Bay. I was very excited to get there as so many people said it was brilliant. I arrive in mid afternoon and check into The Holiday Village. Good vibe from the beginning with lots of people milling around. I met a lovely couple from Dublin, Scott and Laura. Always great to meet some fellow Irish.
