    ... distillery, started in 1812. Steve, our Guide, was VERY passionate about his bourbon. In the storage area, we shared the "Angels Chair". The aroma of thousands of barrels of Bourbon in various stages of aging is quite amazing. Then, the tasting, followed by the mandatory stop in the gift shop to purchase a bottle (and some Bourbon Balls). NIce day. Texas Roadhouse next door to hotel. All good.

    We stayed at Bill and Kat's horse farm for four days. First time we had dried camp and the campsite was the best! On Kentucky bluegrass overlooking the horses in their paddocks. I didn't know KY was so beautiful! Kat's horse Queen Song just had a foal. Queen Song is a pedigree thoroughbred but was let go by Clairborne Farms for unruly behavior.     A couple of things I forgot to mention in my last blog. They make a garland of 3000 red roses which is draped over the winner of the Derby. On the funnier side - I sent my jeans to be laundered and they came back today STARCHED. I'm not sure I'll be able to walk after squeezing myself into these very very, very stiff jeans.
