First, I should say that I never use the term "Xmas," which I think is an ugly word, but I couldn't resist the ridiculous rhyme.

We are now in Lexington, KY, having finished the first leg of the nearly 1200 mile driving tour. We ran around like crazy this morning doing chores--most of which would have been done yesterday if the power hadn't gone ...

We went over to Durand's house saw he and Greg's family and ate the best cake (it was Durand's birthday) Caramel frosted yellow cake with a caramel center. Caramel is the way of life here. Both kids came out to join us and visit at one time or another. So wonderful to sit and share and enjoy time together. I have truly missed my time with this family. Kids are growing so fast and I'm so proud of how they are growing into ...

We've made it to Frankfort, KY. Frankfort was established in 1786 and was original called Frank’s Ford for the pioneer Stephen Frank who was killed during an American Indian attack along the Kentucky River. With only 25,000 residents Frankfort is the 5th smallest capital in the US and not even the largest city in Kentucky.
