Snow was threatening in the U.P. so we decided to high-tail it back to the Lower Peninsula to avoid it. We had to wait at the Mackinaw Bridge for a wind advisory to be all clear and then bee-lined it for Burt Lake State Forest Campground. Hi everyone, Time sure is going by fast. Here we are in September and Jeff and I will be heading to Belize in less than a month. One more week in Michigan with family before heading to Las Vegas for a week. You would think we would tire of our wanderings but each stop brings a new adventure/experience. We slept outside of a library last night, which was just as nice and quiet as it would have been sleeping IN the library. It cooled down perfectly so that we only had to run the fan and keep a couple of windows open. We've used the down comforter all week, which is so strange in July, but I’ll take it…I’d always rather it be cooler outside than hot any day.
