... I completed my longest road walk yet. On Saturday I passed thru Velazquez rocks, then the trail took us down the street for a few miles through the town of Agua Dulce. As we left town the clouds rolled in and we started gaining elevation and walking up into them. The fog was dense and claustrophobic with rain and wind blowing all around. Rain has a different affect on the mind and body when there is no shelter in site and ...

... accident where an RV had appeared to have lost control (poss strong cross winds) and there were toilet pans, beds, clothes, food etc all over the road. Their vacation spoiled !!Had a smoothie in the Mc D's in Mojave so I could find a campsite and found one that sounded ok. It was in the middle of nowhere and would not be able to find it without GPS. ... He wants to get back into photography and was really interested in the camera that I'd brought with me (Canon Rebel T3). I'm so lucky to have been given this camera as a gift! I can't stop taking pictures!!! Duny is getting a little frustrated with me stopping every two minutes to take a picture. I hope you enjoy the pictures I post, then Duny's frustration will not have been in vain:).

          It's good to come home.

Although it was nearly 5pm, it didn't seem to take long for us to arrive at our overnight stop in Tehachapi. Mum got out to have a look, but very quickly returned informing us that we were simply not staying there because it was too windy and too cold. So we descended down the hill again and found another campground by Lake Brite.

We set up camp and found that although it was cold and windy still, it was an improvement, and we had a fantastic outlook over the lake.
