Can't believe how early we had to get up this morning - 3:30am NZ time (which is 1:30am Aus time) to get to the airport.
But it was all good. Watched the Twilight movie on the plane on the way home and now i cant wait to see New Moon!

Coming through customs in Australia was funny as i had to go in the high security line due to my Maouri souviner that i brough back with me that is classified as a weapon. I was just glad that Border Security wasnt there to film me haha.

Biking Beechworth

... ride so I enjoyed careering down the slopes and tried to break as little as possible (I'm such a nervous rider, I try to push my boundaries!) If I didn't feel so far behind everyone I would have stopped anyway as the park was so pretty. The ride organiser, Chris was kind enough to match my pace and he told me they'd organised this ride for a few years now and the weather had always been kind. After a chilly start to the morning it was definitely warming up, and we met ...

We then spent a few hours at Beechworth, an historic little town which still has an operating telegraph station. We went on a scenic drive along the gorge (which was quite narrow with our big bus!)

After we headed down to the town of Bright and then into Mount Beauty, stopping at the overlooks of the town.

Beechworth

We arrived at Beechworth only half an hour away from Wanganderry. As we arrived in Beechworth,we found a caravan park.We took it and started putting up the caravan. While mum and dad were taking up the caravan,Marc and I were riding our bikes to the park and throwing the frisbee. Now today was actually the first day we'd been in a caravan park. For dinner mum went looking for a shopping centre. When mum came back she had bought our dinner and some salad. We ...

There's no such thing as a coincidence

... the details of our lives. Jason's kids had 'adopted' the kids from another family, so all us adults sat around for the afternoon talking about our relative journeys, the benefits of various cars (a very important topic when one travels all the time) and then the lady from the other family piped up with 'Our house has ghosts in it'. This led to a fascinating discussion on the activities of these ghosts, I offered my opinion that they were not ghosts at all, but demons, and they ...

After leaving Gundagai we were caught in constant patches of roadworks before reaching Albury. This is the last major section of the Hume Highway to be duplicated and it is expected that the Melbourne to Sydney will be dual highway/freeway by December 2009. We stopped at Tarcutta (the half way town between Melbourne and Sydney) for a cappuccino from one of the last town takeaway stores on the highway before continuing onto Holbrook to show ...

Heading back

Hi all, Well, the journey's almost over. We spent last night in Albury headed up the Hume Highway to spend a couple of nights at Al's cousin David's place in Nowra. We encountered the heaviest rain I have ever seen when we were on the highway around a place called Tarcutta - so heavy we had to stop cos I couldn't see 2 feet up the road! After that ...
