Kyly, Laura, and myself decided we wanted to go out later that night so we made a plan to go take naps, shower, have dinner, and then meet up later for a couple of drinks as a little going away party before we all continued up the coast. We end up convincing Brad and Whitney to join us on our outing and end up having fun even though we were unable to go into the first bar we were able to get a drink at the second and enjoy eachother's company. All in all this was a great day in Newcastle.

... Atrium and I laid down for a nap. Later, we took some body boards to the beach. The beach was so busy - it's a Saturday. What a fun sport! We caught quite a few good waves in. There was sea kelp all over the shoreline from low tide which was really hard to swim through. It was nice to go back to the hostel's freshwater pool after that.
