... history to visit Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum in search of the burial site of one of Patty's ancestors. We had a section and lot number. We did not have a map. That proved to be a problem. We drove around and around and around without ever seeing any section markers. We found Orville and Wilbur's graves, but not the one we were looking for. Maybe we should have done a little more research :0). We may try again tomorrow.

Otherwise we continue heading ...

... and it was FREE!

We are in OHIO for four days. Today we were included in Bill and Sandy Sowers’ family get-together POOL PARTY in honor of the Labor Day weekend. Wow! It was SO MUCH FUN being included so graciously in their lovely celebration. Bill and Sandy are parents of Sara Sowers Collison, our neighbor in Cheyenne. We have spent time with Bill and Sandy in Cheyenne and now in their native Ohio.

Pretty quiet night! The tree frogs went until about 3am and then quieted down. The hiway sound is kind of like white noise...constant and fairly consistent. There is no construction and no reason for using Jake Brakes, so just the constant hum of engines and wheels on pavement. Today was a day of 'Wright's' or too many Wrights can be wrong...We left after what thought was rush hour in Dayton and went to Wright-Dunbar Interpretive ...

Construction everywhere.....

... there are not that many bugs...but, apparently the cicadas eat them. I tried taking a picture of the fireflies, but the IPad doesn't do well with night shots. Instead I took a video so you might hear the tree frogs... The Perseids Meteor shower is supposed to be happening all this week, but we can't seem to stay up late enough to see them...or it clouds over an rains...We've seen a couple of shooting stars though and figure that's good ...

... Miami River. One building tells the story of the Wright Brothers and showcases their original 1905 Wright Flyer III, the world’s first practical airplane. Other buildings exhibit facets of Dayton history, including the great flood of 1913. In the entrance building, there is an NCR cash register room with 90 such Dayton-made machines on show, many of them quite ornate and brightly polished. A very fascinating afternoon.
