    ... back to drop shopping off and then headed to the place we ate the night before. Think by the time we say down to eat it must have been around 12pm.     ... which might be built of ply and painted to look like a building or have a more substantial facade of composites, including foam. For instance, we see the plaza and building featured in the "Back to the Future" movies and the guide tells us that the facade of the building had become so recognizable it was unable to be used in other movies so they had to modify using foam to cover the pillars which are now painted to look like brickwork- amazing!

    ... Dave and decided to leave to the Griffith Observatory pretty much straight away so the sun would still be there. We went in Patrick his red rental car which was a Dodge Challenger. I sat in the front on our way to the observatory and made lots of videos and photos. The actual observatory was closed, but the view was amazing!     ... do a read in front of her and listen to her take on things was a fabulous experience. So not a sight seeing, explosive first week, but certainly action packed for me.     ... The buildings are all fantastically designed. The shops are super shiny. We see Cartier, Harry Winston, Gucci, Hugo Boss, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co, Guess, Vera Wang and every other high end shop you can think of. We travel back to the hotel via Millions Milkshakes where Miley Cyrus hangs out and grab a pizza from Fresh Brothers. We feel like we've seen a million different things today but overall found LA a bit underwhelming. Looking forward to Vegas ...
