We hadn't made any plans for today and slept in a bit, but still got up in time for our free breakfast. At breakfast we shared a table with an older couple from Arizona. When I said we were from Loveland, CO, they surprised us by saying they had lived in Loveland until 1974! Last year they traveled back and visited their old house on Namaqua Hill. Out of all the people in this hotel, we meet them?! After breakfast, Jeff went to ...

... long surf camp that caters to all levels in Costa Rica for next fall. . . . . I don’t know why I find it so fascinating; I could stay in the water for hours doing it or just watching other people. I think it’s the exhilarating feeling when you’ve caught the wave or when you drop down the face.

I’m not sure that you would want to queue for ages for them, but we usually only waited about 15 minutes. Overall it ...

... who used to teach in London but is currently teaching in LA, at Starbucks on our way. After getting our food we've ordered another Lyft back to the hotel. Our driver, Pablo, was a really funny and friendly guy! He made a lot of jokes and told us awkward stories about having selfish annoying teens in his car. He worked for Lyft part time and also worked in a restaurant where he was heading tonight as well. We arrived in the hotel way faster than I expected and we were still ...

    ... I met my host!

Another bad night for sleep so I slept in the morning til around 11am. Walked to Westwood to catch the ho ho again. Quick refreshment stop at Starbucks then on to Hollywood. Another roasting hot day but luckily the red bus had a sunshade. Sadly that bus terminated at the Chinese theatre and the next bus had no shade :-( After a circuit, I caught the yellow route to Santa Monica where I spent ...
