    ... was almost 6 miles round trip and went along an old gravel road to a scenic overlook. The trail goes through a large pasture that supposedly is home to a somewhat aggressive buffalo herd, so we were cautioned (on the map & by the ranger) to be extremely careful and stay far away from the buffalo.     So I got there, talked to the Park Ranger inside the historic mansion there and set off down the Scenic Overlook Trail...a 6.4 mile round trip. I make the climb to the top of the first hill (about .5 mile) and make my way to the gate leading into the Windmill Pasture where the bison roam.
