There are few things that can lift the spirits of a motorcyclist like a great morning ride and Palomar mountain had just what the doctor ordered. The S6 and S7 were as advertised, tight twisties and switchbacks galore on S6 and fast twisties and sweepers on S7. Last day is always very busy. Besides working with the kids there are certain procedures that must be completed for disembarkation the following day. Like meeting at the crew office at 8:00 in the morning to begin the process. Since we have to report for work at 8:50 I usually get up early this morning to have my coffee and lite ...

After a quick trip on the hotel shuttle to the train station at Santa Ana, we caught the Metro Rail to San Juan Capistrano, about half an hour south. Diesel train, 3 levels, very clean and on time. $10 for a weekend day pass, so pretty good value. The train station at SJC is right in the middle of town. It is a small, tourist oriented town, but quite charming. The Mission is also right in town, a 2 minute ...
