Population Explansion

... in my mind way to much planning.

Aside from ovserving people's various sizes and conditions the show is progresssing much as teh last one including crazy comments such as:

"I took teh day off work for this how can you not have the perfume I want"

or

"I don't want to use teh lipstick testers in case I get swine flu" You put them on your hands for ...

... things - I hated role plays in work when training and all this showing off of self. The girls get off lightly - which is grand - there are 19 girls - only 5 lads. The girls have to learn to swing a ball on a rope and do some silly dance - all the while assured of their safety in numbers. The 5 lads have to learn the All Black Hakka and perform it for the girls. Not so bad - but what do you mean topless!!!!!!! Now as you know 30 plus year ...

natural beach hot tub, caves and glow worms

In the morning, we drove to our first destination in the Kawhia Bay, called Ocean Beach. We had to be there around the low tide because you can dig a pit in the sand and let the hot springs under the sand fill the "tub" with hot water. Pretty amazing huh? You can do this in two places on the North Island, and this one was the least out of the way for us, so we decided to check it out and we really wanted to relax on the ...

Rotorua: Smelly geothermal Sulfur-land!

... night ended with a tour in the nearby sanctuary, where we all saw for the first time various animals of New Zealand. The kiwi was of course the protagonist of the show. The kea was also notable, especially because of its interest for rubber (we probably have to be extra careful in the south island if we don't want to have our campervan destroyed by these lovely birds). The following day was even smellier than the previous one. We visited the geothermal ...

Rotorua - Lord of the Rings 'Hobbiton Tour'

... especially bus drivers ;)), I even have finally seen a Kiwi bird at a Kiwi bird house, but I still haven't seen where all the Kiwi fruit is coming from. All this time being in New Zealand there were not many Kiwi fruits to see, especially no place where they grow. But the last bus driver I asked about that, and he told me that we're gonna see them when getting back more to the north. So I'm looking forward to look out for them the next day driving with the Magic Bus to Mount Maunganui.

Thermal wonderlands and skydive

... my arms right out. At this point we were horizontal, and for me, that was the point when I opened my eyes. I'd already decided that I didn't want to actually see what was happening when we were all tumbing over and over in mid-air in freefall - if I was going to die, then i didn't want to see it coming! And it all went according to plan, as far as I know anyway. Eric pulled the parachute (until then we'd been plummeting towards the ground at 200 km/h), we ...

Rolling Thru Rotorua

... village. A hangi is a Maori dinner party of sorts. Apparently, it's like a luau in many ways, because they cook the food in the earth. The hangi was hosted by a Maori family known as the Mitai. We learned a bit about the family, which had lived in Rotorua for thousands of years, were shown more Maori dances and songs, ate a fabulous meal, and went on a bush walk. Our honorary chief for the evening was a kid from South Carolina, who actually ...

... naturally hot thermal water), hangi cooker (traditional Maori steam cooker, cooks the food with thermal steam from the ground) and hot spa pools. All for campsite prices...! Our site was right next to a 'boiling mud hole' as it was marked on the map of the campground. We visited Waiotapu thermal park, amazing place that has gushing geysers. They probe the Lady Knox geyser to erupt every morning at 10.15 by putting soap in ...

The Magic Bus

... option, as it was cheaper and meant I didn't have to wear a wetsuit. The glowworms were cool I guess, and the caves were massive, I was over 40 metres underground at one point which is pretty scary if you think about it - I would have been so dead if there was a cave in... At the end of the tour you go out on this boat and see the millions of glowworms twinkling down at you like stars - and they really do look like stars - its so dark that ...
