One of the places we enjoy stopping is Bottomless Lakes near Roswell New Mexico. They have a very nice campground and it is a welcome place to spend the evening. The setting is quite nice and the sounds of the birds is also a reward.

Tomorrow, we drive further south to Carlsbad Caverns, and afterwards we continue eastward on I-20 into Texas.

Visit the museum & make up your own mind. Was great visiting real small town America. We visited a couple more antique stores & I really wanted to buy some tea ...

Didn't want to go and tell them to be quiet as it sounded like a lot of young men probably drunk or high so could be trouble. After half hour or so Peter rang reception, no answer then he rang again and told the girl what was happening , she said you should have rang earlier, when he said he ...

... go, right? Well, the New Mexico Bottomless Lake State Park is just outside Roswell. Bottomless, because the cowboys that drove herds up the Goodnight Loving Trail watered their cattle here, and those resourceful cowboys tried to figure out how deep the lakes (really sink holes) were by tying all their lariats together, tying on a stone and tossing the whole shebang in the drink. Either the cowboys didn't have enough lariats or the underground current ...
