... fun, especially the first 5-6 miles. The second half is calmer and a bit wider, and in the afternoons the westerly winds kick in to try and push paddlers back. But the day I paddled the 12 miles (6/28), it was very warm and sunny, and nothing could have made that a bad day on the river--even wind. Left on the grand trip today! Unfortunately the first hour saw a delay with a flat tire. After several hours having great sniffs on the side of the road, we were able to get back on the road. There was a another stop a bit later for a new tire, it was a good place for more smells.
You know, I am getting a bit tired of the car, maybe we'll stop soon.
Oh well, the sniffs are quite interesting wherever we stop. ...
