So a 90 miler after a restful rest day.

Was overcast in the morning and left St Joseph with a lovely sunrising. Perfect temperature and no wind. Cloud cover lasted. Lots of rolling hills which I quite enjoyed. Rode with Kettie and Barry and then we joined the big boys for a little (Jeremy, Rene and Doug) so upped the pace for a bit.

Stopped for lunch in Jamesport. First cafe went into was like walking into someones front room...uninvited. The whole place turned to look at ...

I rode through Old Highway 36 to get back on route past Hamilton. It's a very cute town. The houses out here are old but people keep them looking nice. I was confused when I saw gas pumps in town but there wasn't a store for it. I guess it was a true self-serve pay at the pump. I went up to the main junction and spotted a Casey's General Store. It had an electrical outlet on the wall so I parked my bike in front of it and charged up. My body is not in the mood ...

... to plug into discretely while I shop inside. My phone was dead, and since I'm still off-route, I needed it to look at the roads for the next city. I hung out for a bit while it charged. Don is a man who drives a Little Debbie truck and distributes product as an independent contractor. He is tall, slender, and very clean cut. He saw me on the road getting picked up miles back and ran into me again at the store as he was restocking. He told me he was going 5 ...

Left El Dorado, Arkansas pretty early and did a big day today - travelled 530 miles - (850 kms) to a city called Chillicothe in Missouri. On the way we stopped at a gas station at Pine Bluff in Arkansas and they have a Stop n Shop for all your huntin & fishin gear - guns, ammo - you name it - they got it! Had drinks at Applebee's when we arrived in Chillicothe - a pretty good chain restaurant over ...

There was nothing special about today. It was the same old rolling hills and wind. The wind was about 20 mph into my face and the hills seemed to be rising and rising. I wasn't struggling too bad but I had to push through it until almost dark to get to Chillicothe. Luckily there was a Dairy Queen to bring up my spirits. It was a long day but I got through it. Tomorrow I will try to get to Moberly which is 82 miles from Chillicothe. Today I rode 75 ...
