... made us very late on entering the Melbourne airspace where we lost our landing slot and had to circle for what seemed forever. And of course this meant we were late in at Sydney airport and missed our connecting flight to Taree.
Our mobile phone still didn't work in Melbourne (even though we were back in Australia) but somehow Alan found a public phone box (just try finding one ...
North Haven, New South Wales, Australia aguas... Bumblebee, the track soon turned to fine sand - we would have been stuck in minutes! I decided to take a 'detour' up a near vertical sand dune which, after much huffing, puffing and sand in the shoes, got to the top and looked out across miles and miles of sand, a sliver of sea in the distance and not a soul to been! It also knocked a good chunk of our walk! We walked for about 2 hours along the beach, occasionally passing a 4x4 or quad bike on the way but ...

Bryon Bay, Australia jen_and_chris... about 25 minutes door to door for me! Its only about 20 minutes to bondi and such as well to anyone thats interested! We hired a car and drove up to newcastle a couple of weeks ago. Driving in sydney was hair raising but i'm proud to day i drove over the harbour bridge and spent the entire time cursing at shane and my cousin and her boyfriend who were in the car with us, cos there was a million lanes and nobody could work out what lane i ...
Sydney, Australia shane-paula... its name 'four seasons in a day!' crazy i tell ya! Later that day we went to the beach at 6pm (still too hot) and played frisbee for half hour, tried for a paddle in the sea but it was f f f f freezing - odd as it was baking hot all day! freaky place i call it! That same night we went back an stayed in Hostel an met up with some of the Barmy Army, and managed to find a guy 'Paul' from Mansfield - not far from neil! So got chatting with them and the next day we ...
Melbourne, Australia heliwalkerSo far, interesting things that have happened in Port Mcsommin (sorry will try and find out the proper name): 1) Went into battle with a new hairdresser and lost again- when will I learn! 2) My yoghurt managed to fall down from the luggage shelf on the greyhound and completly covered some guy 3) Me and Caz went to a nightclub, discovered we were blatently too old ...
Port Mcsommin, Australia gemmatthews... It was starting to get a tad cold since the sun had gone so we headed back to the hostel. Next morning we just went to the beach and later on just walked around the town , we were looking to go Whale watching but with the storm approaching it had all been cancelled so we grab a few cans and headed back to the hostel to pack and have a few drinks before leaving the next day for Coffs Harbour
Port Macquarie, Australia peteashAdios Sydney. After a short taxi ride to Avis and sitting in construction traffic and then car accident congestion for an hour we were finally on our way up north toward Brisbane. We were finally able to see the real Australia, outside the city. The terrain is made up of rolling hills covered by eucalyptus trees. For my San Diego ...
