Caught taxi at 7am from home with our Canadian visitors, Brenda & Robin who we had great pleasure in hosting for the last 2 weeks. They will be returning the favour in 6 weeks when Daisy completes the exchange programme in Canada. Took off in time with no incidents and had a pleasant flight with Qantas arriving in LA at 6:30am on the same day we left, weird arriving three and a half hours before we left, I guess that is the closest we'll get to ...

... and Rach chose The Simpsons, they were brilliant even a second time, noticing new things a second time round, having a whole new experience! The park closed at 6.00pm we found the car and drove to Santa Barbara where we stay overnight. It was a relief to leave the roads of LA! The highway 101 was a lot safer and easier to navigate with less lanes and less traffic! We turned up at a nice motel, Sandman Inn. It had a lovely room and breakfast was included in the ...

    GOODBYE SAPPHIRE CALIFORNIA

A travel blog entry by journeyjoy on Apr 03, 2014

... was officially ending her contract, so we said our goodbyes to her at the hotel.

I grabbed some dinner in the hotel with Raye* using our food vouchers, and enjoyed some amazing King Salmon. After dinner, we spent a long time online (where I set up a phone interview for tomorrow morning! EEK!) and decided to book a tour for the next day to Universal Studios and LA-by-night. The tour-booking agent at the hotel desk gave us $10 off, so we spent $120 each…..YOLO! ...
