... Sunday. Of course it will be closed.
Next I checked out the ACMI (Australian Centre for Moving Images). The main sections were free entry, which was cool. You really appreciate free things here, and with two of them in one day I was feeling really spoilt. The movie part was nice, with plenty of interactive bits and bobs in there. I made a Matrix style video of me jumping like a tit – check it out here: MATRIX. There was also a free movie-viewing section. I said ...
... I crashed out on the first night as I had come down with the Hong Kong flu that everyone seemed to have whilst I was there! I choose the YHA hostel due to its more central location and being near to all the main transport links, the downside to this was that it was very noisey, so much so, they supplied you with earplugs on arrival! Not a good sign, but they were complimentary.....good thing too!
The plan whilst in Melbourne was to visit the places I missed before and just to ...
... when we graduated from college, but it was all the better this time - I would never have predicted, all those years ago when we were snoozing and slurping pints in the back of our education lectures, that we would both end up living in sunny Victoria! And so my first few days as a resident in Australia have been in the relaxing company of old friends - all the more relaxing, I might add, because lots of the ...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia fishtails04... Then the main part of the trip we went to the Penguin Sanctuary where we all got to stand on a platform over looking the beach and saw these tiny penguins come floating in and then just waddling about right next to you, very cute!! We were not allowed to take pics as the flash kills them!!!
Anyway i am now in Sydney writting this on my bday so you guys better appreciate this! lol Party night for me is Saturday ...
... with Lou and her and Andrea have to say goodbye, which is real sad, Oz is flippin far, especially when you are real close to your siblling. Good news is she has a job offer, so that will make the settling in process all the more easier!! We get our flight to Brisbane and have our first experience of staying in a youth hostel! We choose a safe first option with the YHA and no 20 dorm bunk down with excitable students either, private twin, best to break yourself ...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia doone... the other with the final kick of the game. We also, to Nicola's utter delight, took a guided tour of the Neighbours set and the famous Ramsay Street (which is actually a residential street where normal people live). We got our pictures taken outside Karl Kennedy and Toaddy's house, and had a wonderful day. We also went to a couple of shows at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, which were hilariously funny, and we went to the Casino for a couple of nights out where we gambled ...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia robbiedinho... make way for the new build, suited to the tasted of the buyer. I guess having a small population and a hell of a lot of land, makes building on a green-site very possible, and not to pricey. Sprawling Melbourne however is becoming more expensive to ībuild your own home' within, with its 1200 people per day immigration rate. Marilyn and Grahams home is great, with wooden panels painted eggshell blue, its got a cottagey feel with a modern twist. They have a ...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia joannesharpe... stage and the questions got read out..... our came up!!!!! They made Steph go on stage and show them her feet.... sooo funny! The presenter even said that he knew we would have a question as we were being a little loud (again not like us?!!!) Then we went on through the night with Kat and Lou singing a rendition of 'Neighbours' theme tune and WON a camper van!!!! ha ha... so that is coming to New Zealand with us and we going to hire it for 5days!! all ...
Melbounre, New South Wales, Australia katandhel... floor. We had a look around and took lots of photos of Melbourne. There was also the opportunity to pay an extra $12 to do the EDGE experience. We had been to the outside viewing area and seen the edge in action. As we might not get the chance again we bought a ticket and were given a plastic disc that would vibrate and light up when it was out turn to make our way to the entrance. Within minutes we were flashing and buzzing and so we made out way ...
Melbourne, Victoria, Australia oldhamguy... I could get used to this constant warm weather! Well, if I wanted it year round I would have to move north as Melbourne can get quite chilly in it's winter months! But hey, it's not -50something with a windchill! I found out as well that I have a cousin coming over from Canada in five days from now. I haven't seen her in quite a few years so it is funny we will meet sometime within the next six months on the other side of the ...
