... and wanted $200 for it, but luckily there was a Red Roof Inn close by that had rooms and the price was right. Again, Hinesh used his British charm to get us an even better price. We rest after the drive and chill until dinner time.

Day 8: The long drive home & final budget

It ended up taking us 12 hours to make the "short" 8 hour drive. So much for our plans to get home early!

So this is the final detailed budget tally. Turned out to be a pretty low-cost vacation - especially since we did many "bucket list" activities that are typically super expensive.

The last bit of the drive took us through the Tail of the Dragon, the most famous touring road in North America. It sure was a twisty drive! Unfortunately, Matt and Esen both got a little nauseous after a while so it eventually became a difficult drive. Took us over an hour to get through the Tail.

... Cocoa to use the potty patch was again unsuccessful. Still hoping you can teach an old dog new tricks...

About to put on more warm clothes and make a cup of hot cocoa with the one cup keurig machine I am so psyched that is on this boat. We have to keep the enclosure somewhat open for better visibility especially at night and it's somewhat chilly with the breeziness.
