On my last day in San Francisco I had booked a trip to Alcatraz. I got up really early so I could have breakfast at a diner called St Francis Fountain. I ordered the Chefs mess, which was scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms and potato topped with sour cream, salsa and green onion. Safe to say it was delicious. After I had breakfast I caught the Bart to the union square station and got off to wander around a bit. I had plenty of time to kill so I perused the shops for awhile ...

This has been another week of expansion, heartache, joy, humility, love and learning. Here are some of the things I have experienced and learned...

We sat out on the grass and watched the blazing sky as the sun set...then we headed off into the hills for a drive and to watch the sunset. It was the perfect date! It was so wonderful to feel so free to just drive somewhere and enjoy each other's company...without a driver or worry about being begged or robbed...just enjoying the fresh evening air and each other's company and fun tunes!

CHAPTER 3: Our last days in SF

A travel blog entry by madsandmike on Jun 04, 2014

In the last two days here in San Fran, we have done the most amount of outdoor activities that we have probably ever done in our lives. We would like to be known as 'outdoorsy' people from now on ;) Just kidding. But seriously we have done a lot of active stuff around San Fran. On Monday (2nd June) we started with a traditional diner breakfast just down the street from the hotel. It did promise they had 'the best breakfast in all of San Francisco', and they weren't ...
