The Favourite Part of This Trip

... This time we chose the Quality Inn on the by-pass. It was late when we got in as the Atlanta traffic was chock a block. Who knows why?

This Quality Inn was not as nice as the one in Ohio but still satisfactory. We drove to our favourite dinner spot - Margueritas.

Today was approximately 600 miles and the trailer is working well. We have both remarked that sometimes we almost forget that it is there - presumably good news!

Arrived yesterday in the pouring rain. Had spent the day doing general store with grist mill in Helen. Did a great hike to Ruby Falls. Went on to Clayton. Visited the Main St Gallery but the right Folk Art wasn't there - some cute birds and a gourd turkey - but not quite right. ... O-War Boulevard in Lexington (mile 108). We have many pleasant memories of the trip we took when we did all the touristy things and got off I75. At times you could have sworn you were in northern Ontario with the trees looking either ice covered or sporting hoar frost and enough snow off to the side of the road.

Headed N on Sat. Took all morning to get packed up & leave. Tried for a visit w Nanette- she was on E Coast. Then got off on 60 in Tpa to see Su & Joel in hospital but they took her for MRI so we turned back to hwy. nice lunch at Sweet Tom. Arrived at Comfort Inn Macon, GA apex 8:30pm then to B&N till 10pm.
