Since my co-pilot didn't meet her standard fourteen hours of sleep for the night, she found her doze not long after we filled up on gas and hit the main road out of town. Lorraine and I reached just short of Ocala when I recognized a twenty-minute power nap was already necessary. ... morning today. Headed for the laundromat and did up a couple of loads, then went adventuring. Went to the mounds at Ocmulgee National Monument and had a great visit. Good museum and video, amazing gathering mound with chief's circle, and visits to outside of funeral and other mounds. We had a little of everything today - cold, warmth, fog, hoar frost, snow, sun - but no rain! We left Dayton around 7:30 and enjoyed the wide, expansive highway down to Cincinnati since it was sunny and dry. Made it through Cinci during morning rush hour but it was not as bad as the last time when there was an accident on I75 and we had to find our way around it in the evening rush hour. Headed N on Sat. Took all morning to get packed up & leave. Tried for a visit w Nanette- she was on E Coast. Then got off on 60 in Tpa to see Su & Joel in hospital but they took her for MRI so we turned back to hwy. nice lunch at Sweet Tom. Arrived at Comfort Inn Macon, GA apex 8:30pm then to B&N till 10pm.
