    ... with big white blooms ready to flower soon. They belong to the Yucca Agava plant family & grow mainly in the Mohave Desert plus some areas of Arizona & Utah. Mormons pioneers are said to have named it the Joshua Tree because it mimicked the Old Testament prophet Joshua, waving with upraised arms to lead them to the promised land.

    ... at the Cummins repair shop had RV parking spaces with electric hookup. We were beat. And decided that camping out in the parking lot was our best and only option. Waking up in the morning to the starkness of an empty parking lot in an industrial section of the city was not my vision of how my first morning camping in California would be. However, looking on the bright side....it was FREE! Our next objective, wait for the FedEx truck to arrive with the new fan ...

    ... I think we will take the night off from eating in the RV and go get some comfort food. The food at The Crest was ok. I had the kids burger and could only eat half of it, way too much food. Now I know why we don't eat pub food when travelling. Tomorrow we are headed out for Palm Springs, getting closer to our final destination. It will be nice to stop. ...
