... 75 miles on a highway. Kim and I stopped twice for coffee and at one of the places we got a fried apricot pie. Lunch was at this darling town called Fayetville, and we went into a bookstore (I got another book to read) and made our second stop for coffee. Then we were on our way. However, Carlee, Hannah, and I broke up the ride with some nice long talks about politics, favorite things, and some other zesty topics. Later, Alicia joined us and we stopped at Prichard's distillery to learn about how they make rum in Tennessee. The woman was really nice and gave us a tour of the ...

Holy guacamole! We just ran through Alabama! Right now, we are at 352 miles, which doesn't exactly land us in a town, but it does land us right past the Alabama / Tennessee border. This area and the past 20-30 miles have special meaning to me, because they are where my Granny and Daddy Joe (my father's parents) grew up and met.

    The closest town ...
