... second one more than made up for it. We even had Amish children getting their faces painted and buying toy souvenirs and balloons.

We've had some amazing shows in Ohio that have made me fall in love with this again. Most of this season has been really tough (weather, low attendance, protesters, not having our crew the first couple of weeks, etc.) and it's easy to get distracted by the negatives as they pile up on you. But Ohio has been especially lovely and I'm very ...

... turn of events, we only have one protester today! Hurrah! They've been so plentiful lately (though not having any effect on our attendance) and they're all using the same posters that have nothing to do with our show at all. We had a chance to visit with her a little after the show and it was fantastic having ...

... in, you would get 20% off your meal. We asked the owner if we could get the discount for being FROM the circus. He laughed and agreed.

A bunch of folks went down to a beach near the lot and went swimming. I'm not the swimming type so we went back home, I worked on the strongman costume some more and before you knew it, it was time for the first show. Despite a few protesters with posters full of blatant lies, we had two lovely shows with many ...

    Last day in Pennsylvania!

My memories of being here last year involve us being driven around by a new-to-the-force policeman in his brand new patrol car. We figured it wouldn't be a good photo-op for a circus clown to emerge from the backseat of the patrol car, so I was the lucky one who got to sit back there. We entertained at the local senior center and visited some stores before heading onto the next town.

I remembered the park where our show is being held as soon as we pulled in. We had ...
