      Sandy had to be back at work on Saturday, so we left Pennsylvania Friday morning. Given holiday traffic, we decided to avoid I-95 and take I-81 south instead.       Stayed in a 6 bedroom "cabin" in Blue Ridge Mountains close to Bedford, VA and Peaks of Otter.

      As Jeanne said "The good times just keep getting better. And, Karen, thanks for coordinating everything with the house. As much as we *****ed about it, it really hit all the high points--plenty of rooms and bathrooms, a nice dining space, great views, and a hot tub and company that goes unmatched."

      We had a nice cruise into the Shenandoah Valley to Natural Bridge today. The Adventure cycling route follows less traveled rural roads so we see small, well-kept farms and the light traffic allows us to enjoy the bird songs with the scenery. ...
