... Herb and Judy's lovely home in Encino. They have a beautiful view of the valley from their garden. We finally got to meet Delroy (after being Facebook friends for 2 years) in Santa Monica at Cha Cha Chicken where Angel devoured a massive plate of spicy prawns and we drank a few Red Stripes while we chatted about teaching, Jamaica and Quantum Physics, good topics to ...

Unfortunately, we didn't get Hans' beer delivery as Jeff beat him to the border - ...

That was strange. We got to the hire place and there's no signage, and we are in the middle of Volvo / Mazda dealership. It's funny because the people there seemed to belong but how they belonged was not certain. They also didn't have any cars that we could see. Would we like to hire a car? Yes. ...

... worried about any light rain. This was my first time dining here; first they bring a bowl of edamame to the table which is spiced (I’d never had edamame before so they had to explain how to eat it!). Since I’d already enjoyed 2 cocktails previously this evening, I decided to forgo a drink with dinner. For the meal I had the Waima-nalo greens salad with herb dressing, then the mustard braised short ribs and finally pineapple upside down cake. The salad wasn’t ...
