      A truly magical day.

How do you describe the wonder and magic of Disney World?! Where do you begin? What parts of the day do you leave out? I'm not sure. All I know is that this entry is going to be long. But I want to make sure I get it all down so that we can read back over it in years to come and remember the fun we had. We caught the 9:45 bus from our hotel and thought we should be there by about 10:15. On the map it looks really close, like we could walk there. Boy were we wrong! We were ...

The percentage of students that are on reading level is 33% so it's my job (and one other 9th grade reading teacher) to work with the students who failed FCAT and move them up to a level 3. There are also 2 10th grade Intensive reading teachers and 1 11/12 grade reading teacher. My first reaction was, "Oh my gosh these kids are going to eat me alive...I ...

We heard that the car park can park over 12000 cars, of course Donna had an apple app to find our car that came in handy at the end if each day. We were a bit overwhelmed when we walked in as there was people everywhere. Main Street usa leads up to cinderellas castle and the lovely statue of ...

... to do with driving on the other side of the road. Anyway we got the RV and decided that it was just too rushed now to get to the Kennedy Centre so we will do that on day 7.
Only took 45 minutes to get to Disney World Fort Wilderness, drove up and our RV was pretty much the smallest, there were some huge RV's with cars being towed behind, i wouldn't like to be driving them.
Got checked in and all went nicely - first time there were no hiccups. We are staying in an area of ...

Language has been a moderate challenge for the past 6 weeks. We've been doing our best - diligently learning key bits from our Doring Kindersley phrase-book. The problems start when the locals reply. They seem to have learned from a different book. Matters ought to improve now we're in the USA. The flight was fine (Boeing 737-800 - fewer mod-cons than previous - watched Skyfall again - aircrew slightly less surly). Orlando is ...
