How do you describe the wonder and magic of Disney World?! Where do you begin? What parts of the day do you leave out? I'm not sure. All I know is that this entry is going to be long. But I want to make sure I get it all down so that we can read back over it in years to come and remember the fun we had. We caught the 9:45 bus from our hotel and thought we should be there by about 10:15. On the map it looks really close, like we could walk there. Boy were we wrong! We were ...
... I let the numbers speak for itself and you can fill in the blanks. The percentage of students that are on reading level is 33% so it's my job (and one other 9th grade reading teacher) to work with the students who failed FCAT and move them up to a level 3. Got checked in and all went nicely - first time there were no hiccups. We are staying in an area of ...
Language has been a moderate challenge for the past 6 weeks. We've been doing our best - diligently learning key bits from our Doring Kindersley phrase-book. The problems start when the locals reply. They seem to have learned from a different book. Matters ought to improve now we're in the USA. The flight was fine (Boeing 737-800 - fewer mod-cons than previous - watched Skyfall again - aircrew slightly less surly). Orlando is ...
