Old rides and new plus night time extravaganza

A travel blog entry by maryham on Dec 17, 2014

Our first stop this morning was one of the park's busiest rides, Radiator Springs Racers which showcased the Cars movies. This ride is only one year old and has the longest queues. Mum sat this one out afraid it would make her sick but we raved about it so much that she agreed to come on the second turn. The set is epic and the cars that you ride in a feat of engineering. This contrasted to the Matterhorn bobsleds which we went on later in the morning. This ride ...

I think we all got headaches from that one, it felt like our brains were rattling around in our skulls. It was terrible, Mum came off crying. Although we got a great photo on it so we got some enjoyment out of the experience! "Aggressive thrill"... More like "Aggressively dangerous"! We saw a ...

At other locations along the way we saw the famous hospital were many celebrities have died and the buildings where Marilyn Munro and Michael Jackson overdosed (nice). We also saw the most popular hotel in Hollywood, the one that most celebrities and even Obama stay in. It has a helipad so it tops the rankings for security.

For lunch we stopped at Farmer's Market and The Grove shopping ...

If you look just below this post, there is a "comments" tab which will allow you to post comments too. I'd also like to mention that Mitch has not had any McDonalds since we've been here, even though there is one a few doors down!!! So no "SuperSize" photos yet Worker Sam!!! :-) Let's say ...

... and went on Mater's Junkyard Jamboree.

It was then time to go on the Radiator Springs Racers so we headed there and met Maddy and Mum on the way. Thankfully the wait wasn't too long and we had one final ride before heading back to the hotel.

We just got back when our shuttle to the airport pulled in. We were the only passengers so we went straight to LAX. We got there in plenty of time to check-in, ...
