We decided to go to Tahoe using a Worldmark deal. We stayed the night in El Dorado with Robin on December 29th to help break up the drive. We left bright and early to drop JT off at Heavenly daycare and we went boarding. Well we happened to go on a day where it's Tahoes coldest and windiest. We only did a few runs because only 2 lifts were opened, Stagecoach and comet. The visibility was so bad and he wind was worse. When there was a gust of wind, it was impossible to see. It ...

... br> The good thing about playing up at Squaw Valley was that we drove around the lake to get there and back. Lake Tahoe is one of those special places that attracts visitors and vacation home owners all year round. The beauty is unmatched. As I said, I would have been happy to spend a few more days and nights there, but in my planning, I knew that after 6 weeks on the road, Frankie would be getting anxious to go home. ...

... U.S. Post Office and Kitzmeyer Furniture Factory
In 1872, George Kitzmeyer built his furniture factory, which added coffin and mortuary services a few years later. The federal building just to the north of his factory went through many changes and is now the home of the Nevada Commission on Tourism.
