Wednesday, May 20, 2015. PCT day 31. Miles 517.6-541.5. Today is the one month mark. After two zero days of rest, it was time to get back on the trail. My Achilles tendon felt better. It was still slightly inflamed with minimal to no pain, yet good enough to hike on I felt. Sure enough, I was able to do 24 miles today with no pain. Micah and Wolf wanted to do dinner down the street at a Mexican/pizza diner and we tagged ...

... now is, "Guys, we have to get out of this desert.." And he has said it plenty of times since. We are working hard to beat this desert. We long for the mountains. Day 12: 0 day in idyllwild!!! Due to last years wild fire a large section of the trail is closed (20 miles). We were left with a couple options. One consists of hiking until the trail closure and then bush whacking / trail blazing old 4 wheeler trails. Most of the experienced hardcore hikers were considering ...

... imagine having to do that. They also showed on the film how to complete your customs forms down to how to write your numbers (no crossing your 7s or putting a serif on your 1s and make sure your 4 is written with an open top-not like a triangle-I am not making any of this up). Make sure you always stand behind the yellow line, do not use your cell phones in the customs line. If you make a mistake on your form, do not ...
