... there swimming circles and diving. Just beautiful to watch - they are so immense. We overhead a park lady telling another person to arrive at the gates about 10 minutes before half past as they open the stadium at half past. So off we trotted and sat down in the blazing sun to wait. If we have any criticism of our day it is to do with that sun. Every show was outdoors, every show was in the direct sunlight. We had read some reviews before going about people not thinking SeaWorld ...

... I spent a fair bit of time lazing around reading which has been really nice. I finally met Jinny's brother, Chris, after hearing all about him for the past 6 years, which has been great. We all went out to dinner on Thursday to a Mexican place called Salsa and Beer and had MASSIVE (there are those capital letters again) Margaritas which were delicious. The food was awesome too. Predictably the portions were huge and we ended up taking most of it home. ...

Up early to make the 30 mile trip to Hollywood which meant we had to navigate through downtown LA which we managed to successfully do amidst a ton of traffic. LA during the school holidays is rather busy to say the least! Unfortunately (cue the laughter), we had our first minor accident where I managed to clip our wing mirror against a parked coach right on Hollywood Boulevard of all places. I was so nervous i have never swam so far in a ocean before. I took a deep breathe and overcome my fear.

The water was absolutely beautiful! I could have stayed in there all day. Once i had down my route in the water it was time to do the course on the beach.
