... Put up the tree. Watch movies. It's going to be a good month back. Looking forward to it.

The past week I've been in Panama visiting the family that hosted me two summers ago. They changed my life. It was amazing seeing them again. Definitely the highlight of my past few months, out of everything I've done. Nothing can top the relationship I have with them. I got to go to a "Panamanian Fair ...

Nearing the end of our Cedarlane Summer!

... enjoyed baseball in many venues: The Toledo MudHens playing at Fifth Third Field; The Detroit Tigers at ComericA Park; and the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field; and base ball (yes, two words is correct) in its vintage form when we spent a lovely afternoon watching the Spiegel Grove Squires play in Spiegel Grove, behind Rutherford B. Cedar Point Amusement Park

Cedar Point Amusement Park is located on the beautiful shores of Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio. It is the land of fun and thrills with over 75 rides and attractions. Cedar Point offers the best in roller coaster thrills.

There's lots for kids also. In fact, a section of the park called "four kids' areas" offers 30 rides and attractions for "just their size". These shots were taken especially for our nieces and nephews.

Put-In-Bay (Battle of Lake Erie)

On September 10, 1813, Commodore Oliver Hazaard Perry defeated and captured a British squandron of warships at the Battle of Lake Erie. The battle, fought during the War of 1812, secured control of Lake Erie for the United States and enabled General William Harrison to conduct a successful invasion of Western Upper Canada.

The memorial commemorates Perry's defeat but more importantly it celebrates the lasting peace between the United States and Canada.

... there. It was worth it. We stopped by the Cleveland Brown stadium next door to their gift shop but it was closed - it was 5pm - cool looking stadium. We decided to put Steak n Shake into our GPS and sure enough there was one near by and we were off for our 2nd visit - once again yummy! We headed back to Jett and the camper - he was great and excited to see us! We just hung out - played on Facebook and called it a night!

... since breakfast, we were starving however neither of us were up to going to a restaurant. Instead, we settled on tailgating behind a Home Depot with a take- out pizza and a glass of wine. Pretty Delicious!

Cons: Fuel mileage was a dismal 10 MPG with a consistent head wind.

Overall: Great travel day.

More Cedarlane Views

Just wanted to upload some more pictures of our life and times around Cedarlane RV Park. We're both working LOTS of hours (~40/week apiece), which is more than we had expected...but it will certainly help the finances, which is why we're doing what we're doing!

Cedar Point Rollercoaster Park

In a rush to get to Chicago to catch the 1st June California Zephyr train, we had to pick a point on the map for a short stop off. Niagara Falls was a possibility, but we were worried about re-entry into the States after venturing to the Canadian side of the border.

We settled on the small town of Sandusky, Ohio solely because they have ...

More Area Exploration - Marblehead Lighthouse

... that the tourist season hasn't yet begun, we weren't able to take an official tour (not sure that climbing that many steps would be a good thing, anyhow!), but we enjoyed the outside of the lighthouse and the pretty park surrounding it. Of course - I took lots of pictures

Prehistoric Forest

... I said as we passed by a giant sloth tucked away in a grove of tangled vines and drooping branches. This one had a much more realistic paint job than the previous giant sloth, and stuck as he was back in the woods, there was an unsettling sort of realism about the giant statue. "New York?" the kid repeated incredulously. "Why the hell would you want to come see this stupid ****?" He didn't wait for an answer. "You know that woman who sold you tickets? That's my ...
