Girls stay in room whilst becky and I go to farmers market and admire its wares before going for cocktails thinking we were getting happy hour prices but no!       A long one today, left 09.00am & arrived at the Motel here in Monterey at 8.00pm ! Stunning scenery, drove a long way on the edge of a mountain range, at times " white knuckle " high !! Lot's to see, most enjoyable. Tomorrow, driving up the road to view & have lunch at the world ...

      ... couldn't stay on his bike! Laguna Seca is built in the middle of sand dunes and hills..no grass what so ever, no view of sea, and not a huge crowd. Not that well supported in the States. Phillip Island is far more superior. They also need decent traffic controllers to get out..took ages. But it was a perfect weather day. We decided to take highway 1 back to San Fran ..more veggie and berry farms ..with occasional view of coast. ...

      ... at Monterey we found out that there was an expensive car concourse on starting that day which explains the many fancy, old and fast cars that we passed. It also explained why we couldn't get any accommodation as it had all been booked out a year in advance.
