      ... bit of a shame as the story behind the mission and how it has evolved over the years is an interesting one that deserves being told properly. The curator should pay a visit to Ellis Island.

      ... lunch at the Wharf Marketplace, sandwiches and salad. And, a long rest at home that afternoon! Dinner as a treat from Gerry, Mel, and Sayo at the Old Fisherman’s Grotto on Fisherman’s Wharf. Great meal! Had eggplant calamari parmesan that was delicious! To go box is now in the refrigerator! The best fried calamari on the trip!

      We got off to an early start and headed down to Highway 1 to Salinas and then Laguna Seca to go to the World Superbikes Championship. Eugene Laverty..an Irish guy ..Aprillia team won the race. He was in a pack of 4 riders from the start...but one unfortunate rider who was in the lead for some time fell off his bike ..got back on ...way behind everyone ..but caught up and only finished 4th last ..he was the fastest on track ...
