The first full day back at the farm. First we will work on the loft and put up the 700 lb. beam and try to get the floor done. Harvest always comes first so hopefully we can start on a bean field tomorrow. The pictures tell most of the story on todays work. Tomorrow we will prepare the combine and set it up for beans from corn. We hope to start combining by late afternoon. ...

Alrighty, so we were well on our way and decided that we needed to stop and get gas...or at least get out and stretch our legs for a bit, and get a bathroom break in.

We found this cute little town called Casey. When I say cute in this case I mean really tiny! It looks to be a farm community with really only a few businesses, one of which is a gas station, with a bathroom (thankfully!) and some ...

... wife. She told me that a man on a motorcycle was hanging out in town last weekend raising ruckus so they arrested him. The houses here are so tidy and clean and the grass everywhere is lush and thick with no weeds. The temps seem to be hanging in the mid 70's but less muggy than vt. I picked out a house for my mom and her cat to live in. ...

11pm in the middle of Iowa. This town has a population of about 700...it's about one block long...people are friendly...houses are cheap...quiet..,Danish heritage....storefronts empty...lots of fireflies. Dinner at the one Restaurant. Iowa is nothing but farms and windmills! The abundance of fireflies make it seem like the town is ...

Scenery in Garden City UT and area

We spent a week in Garden City UT. Kinda cold, so we mostly stayed inside and did some necessary taxes and bill pays and other administrative work. But we did take a few walks and have a picnic lunch (in the car) a couple of days at the lake. On our way to the next destination (Panora IA). Looking forward to visiting the Timms!
