Got to our hotel yesterday afternoon for a 24hr stop over in LA. Threw our suitcases into our hotel room, took the shuttle back to the airport and the LAX flyer into downtown LA. After lunch we went for a stroll down the main shopping street of Palm Springs to look at a whole lot of things we neither wanted nor could afford. In one shop they were having a psychic open day where you could meet and chat with the psychics for no charge, just a bit of loving!

... has been an exceptionally wet summer in Florida, and being totally flat (it seems all hills, mounds really, are manmade) the rainfall has resulted in many suburban and rural roadside berms being constantly underwater, and even roads often shallow lakes particularly at intersections. One drives off the seal edge at ones peril usually, a towtruck being needed to get out of the muddy ruts if one does.
