    Day 7: September 26, 2014

We woke up at about 8.15 and headed to a small oceanside city called Carpinteria. Gonzaloīs family was very excited about its beautiful sand beach. Unfortunately the water was too cold (like in most parts of California at this time of the year) so we didnīt feel like bathing. We just had breakfast and walked along ...

Getting through customs at LAX was a nightmare. I was still feeling ill when I get told to go to an additional search, my bags got x-rayed and the official goes to his computer with my passport whilst another comes over and starts asking me random questions, kind of feels like a friendly interrogation. Never mind though, I got through fine and head to my hostel. Driving through LA I see loads of people in black tie ...

... in Brisbane was seeing friends we met in India in January, Mel & Luisa. We met at a pub called the Ploughmans along Southbank, which is very much reminiscent of Southbank in London with the same vibey feel with restaurant and bars to boot. The evening was very pleasant and funny seeing the girls on their own turf catching up on things over the last 6 months.

The following day was a drive out of Brisbane and to my cousin and his wife's house in Robina. Before ...
