We met some full-timers who gave us tips on the area. With our bike tires and kayak aired up we were ready for action! The weather couldn't have been better--sunny and temperatures in the 70's. We spent the days driving, biking, walking, and kayaking around Lake Coeur d'Alene. The water is crystal clear ...

I started the day picking up where I left off in Nelson yesterday. Got a nice breakfast at a café on Baker Street (the primary shopping strip of Nelson; why did I find myself humming Gerry Rafferty?), and then continued my further exploration of town. ... we left went back. I left only spending $20 in 1.5 hours. Cheap entertainment. Now we are relaxing in our horribly over priced (and not nearly as nice as the others we stayed in) watching tv getting ready for the last leg of our adventure. Tomorrow is back to the lake, with a quick detour coffee with Christal. Can't wait to get back to my Canadian phone service, kids and ...

... and had drinks beforehand at the bar. Jess had soup and salad and Joe had a chicken bacon and ranch pizza. We both enjoyed our dinner and had no complaints, except that Joe couldn't find the restrooms.

We then walked around "the worlds longest boardwalk" and went back to our room.

Tomorrow we travel to North Cascade NP.
