Took a chance

Came to virginia beach for the first time with no reservations. Belvadere was the 4th. motel we checked out, after seeing the vacancy sign. After being burnt by crappy motel rooms (finding out after paying or booking sight unseen) I asked to see the room....no problem, even with a lobby full of guests checking in & out. Was a little dated but clean and the price was good. Bikes were free which can save you a bunch. Staff took bags to your room for you, nice bonus. 3 small problems....my husband is 6'2 and hung off the beds, seemed short.... we were on the 1 floor and our view on the balcony was obstructed by the bushes outside....only 1 size bike, no small ones for kids.....after reading some of the reviews of other motels we felt very fortunate to have found this one. Would stay again.

Great view of dolphins!

Every morning waking up to the dolphins jumping out and doing a show for us was great! Great prices...and CLEAN rooms.

Great Coffee Shop

Clean/On the Ocean/All rooms on the ocean,bikes free/ great service/ great manager. Near wonderful restaurants/ ground level parking for guest/bus stop at the front door / park your car and ride the Trolly on the Board Walk

Best Rates and Value on the Oceanfront!

After waiting until the last minute to find a place, I lucked out and got the last room at this very clean and comfortable hotel! Considering the excellent quality of room furnishings and comparison with other oceanfront properties, this place was most reasonable! It does indeed have a popular coffee shop attached which serves an incredible omelet!

The heated pool was warm and reasonable size. The complementary bikes were a big plus! The staff was very friendly and hospitable!

Best Value in VA Beach!

We've stayed at the Belvedere a number of times, and we've always been totally delighted with it. The staff are warm and friendly. The rooms are neat and clean, and everything works!

The prices are definitely the best on the oceanfront. Plus, it has the best breakfast in Virginia Beach -- and it's via room service (since they don't have enough room in the diner to accomodate everyone). We always go to the Belvedere for breakfast even when we stay at our swanky timeshare on the South end. It's well worth the money, and the people are fantastic!

Wow! What a find!

Professional, warm and helpful staff. Very clean, simple rooms...right on the beach! We watched the sunrise each morning from the provacy of our porch (bring your own coffee pot etc.). The rooms have refridgerators. Our biggest surprise - free use of bikes. We'll definitely return.

Hidden Treasure on the Beach

Just returned from a lovely two-night stay at The Belvedere Resort Motel in Virginia Beach, VA. This lovely small motel is a true hidden jewel of the beach. Service was excellent, rates were unusually fair for the height of the season and our room was immaculate. The small attached coffee shop also served a delicious breakfast and lunch menu.

I hope to return as soon as possible for another wonderful and affordable oceanfront stay!

If you like an old hotel with must smelling rooms, very dated wood panel walls, old room furnishings, tiny outdoor pool, and rude desk clerks then this place is for you. Otherwise, stay some where else!

For the Money the best place to stay for Families!

We took a chance on this hotel and were we PLEASED!! Upon arriving we were greeted very professionally and swiftly taken care of. We felt like we were at the Ritz! This is a great, clean place to stay especially for families with children. This is an older hotel, no frills but very clean and taken care of. This hotel is on the quieter end of the beach, with a great view of the ocean. All rooms are ocean front. Pool is small, but well taken care of. Please eat at the attached coffee shop its definately woth it and worth ANY wait!! The chef is great and the prices are too!! Would definately use again!!
