We were tired after travelling all day and wanted 2 rooms with no reservations. Found this nice little motel in Skowhegan with a very nice gentlemen at the front desk who treated us as friends and provided us with 2 rooms with a view to the gardens. Rooms were exceptionally clean and bathroom was spotless. Provided donuts, juice and coffee for breakfast and gave us the name of a very reasonablly priced restaurant for dinner. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

With the temp in the 20s all day we are READY to get going. Still getting things loaded in the RV and have scheduled eye doctor and dentist visits to be as sure as we can be that we are healthy and ready for several months 'out of Dodge'.
Our 2006 Navion H is ready to go, all systems are go and we have a place for everything we will be bringing.
Since Maine is a summer tourist destination, well-known for both lobster and blueberries, and used to host traveling salesmen back in the day, at various spots along the state's roads there are wonderful, fifties style food stands. They might just have home-made, hand-scooped ice-cream, or it could be a well established seafood extravaganza. A few hours into our journey, we fall prey to one of the more famous stands in the ...
