We were tired after travelling all day and wanted 2 rooms with no reservations. Found this nice little motel in Skowhegan with a very nice gentlemen at the front desk who treated us as friends and provided us with 2 rooms with a view to the gardens. Rooms were exceptionally clean and bathroom was spotless. Provided donuts, juice and coffee for breakfast and gave us the name of a very reasonablly priced restaurant for dinner. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We went over to the US border and spoke with the border patrol officers and they helped us get the car over onto the US side. Ben and a US patrol officer pushed the car while I got to steer (I got the EASY job!YES!!!).

I got to spend a little time with Trevor, Val and Rob's 22-month-old son. He is a truly sweet young boy who is mostly smiles. He and Alex really hit it off, which was great.
Alex's contribution to Trevor is that Alex taught his young protege how to do a fist bump (he formerly could only do a high-five).
After taking care of the plane, it was back to Val's house, where we caught up with Rob, Val's ...
Colby is one of oldest liberal arts colleges in country located in a town named Waterville. In Waterville I was starting to feel like I was getting up into a part of Maine that's more North Woods and less cutesy New England. As you go farther north in Maine the towns look more industrial and plainer, with fewer of the classical New England architecture. Colby has a very ...
This Fathers' Day Weekend, we are going camping at Two Rivers Campground where we are testing out our new (used) camper! It's a 26' fifth-wheel. We've been working very hard to get everything all packed up and ready to go for the upcoming adventure.
Also camping with us will be the McClain, the Soules, and the Lamberts. Gretta will be camping with us (maybe Sydney, too) since Gretchen and Steve are at Bike Week this week. They will be joining us on Saturday!
