    ... I met in the hostel when I came to New York and he was the last person I saw apart from Stuart who we are spending the next 8 days together. Going to be fun. Travelling around New York. So I have 8 days until I have to get back on a flight to Heathrow and see my family and friends.     ... the Skipper to clean the deck and I went to the gym, we had our first dinner tonight on the boat it was good, you have to be creative with limited space and equipment.

    We are up early tomorrow to head off to Bridgeport.

    the Skipper just informed me that this morning the winds were blowing at 30 MPH...tomorrow only 8 to 10 so we are looking forward to a nice trip.

    ... and down 5th Avenue - that is all we seem to do ! The Guggenheim is opposite Central Park, so we crossed over to that side, beautifully tree-lined, which was all the better for viewing the ditinguished houses on the other side of the avenue. I really enjoyed seeing the homes of the well-to-do, and took a few snaps. When it began to rain, we caught a bus to the Rockefeller Centre, and lunch at the French Bakery we visited on Thursday.

    ... read a book, whatever action you choose it is a very relaxing place to be.

    Venturing off trail if you dare because you can easily get lost if you're not on the main loop trail. But we risked it anyway and found ourselves faced with huge trees- one that vera claimed to look like a scene from Twilight and another which reminded her of Lord of the Rings... Haha.
