Across the river is one of the most visited public sculptures in Washington, Grandfather Cuts Loose the Ponies. This line of bronze wild horses was done by David Govedare, whose work we will see again on our walk in Spokane.

... and got my **** together. Ryan drove me to the airport and I got here at 230. I got through security suuuper quick and then spent the next few hours walkin around and killin time. I'm now waiting for my flight which should start boarding in about 45 minutes.

I'm feeling EXCITED but also soooo nervous. What if addy's not there when I arrive? what if I don't get to Oviedo? I can't think in what if's anymore cause life is happening the way it's happening and ...

Wow is all I can say. We have packed it all in, vacation of a lifetime.

We rented a car today to take drive-around tours of the interesting neighborhoods of Seattle - South Lake Union, Upper Queen Anne, Capitol Hill, Ballard, to name a few. All unique.

We also stopped at the U of Washington, beautiful campus.

A trip to the NW would not be complete without stopping at ...

... there are lots of dogs in the neighborhood . . . in all of my walking around (so far), I haven't seen any 'evidence' of their leavings!!! I also haven't noted any scoops and bags either . . . they must be way too discreet for that!!

We planned to go downtown for an early dinner at a restaurant we have been to before, McCormick & Schmick's, specializing in seafood and steaks. They have one in Chicago, but it is pretty mediocre compared to this ...
