We have looked for the best mountain road in the world in the European Alps, ridden the best sweeper in the world in Morocco and hammered ourselves for days across the endless corrugations of the Amur Highway in Siberia. Without the roads there would be no journey. Without the roads there ...

... Brommer Road - when TV reporter Othello arrived and it provided relative quiet for an interview.

After the interview we pressed on to arrive in Davenport around 3:00pm after walking 37 miles - grateful for Anne who had gone on ahead and gotten the air conditioners running and our extra gear already carried into our rooms. A hot bath with Epsom Salts, muscle rub, and awaiting Subway sandwiches was all we needed before falling into bed. More tomorrow.
