There are also a lot of little communities all over. Pods of houses scattered around, and some really nice "I hate you rich people" houses up on mountains and stuff.

After a couple of hours, we finally got to Columbia Falls and our first hotel for the trip. The Western Inn right on the edge of Glacier Park (you can see my thoughts on the hotel in tomorrows blog).

... anyway because although my bike is a cross country bike, at least it is full suspension. Tristan's bike is a rigid rear so his bike skips and shudders the entire way down. The terrain was rocky and rutted, making it difficult to keep tires in contact with the soil. Downhill bikes are made to deal with this punishment and their suspension soaks up the bumps and keeps the bikes controllable. I digress. We headed down B-Line and were doing quite well. We were ...

... tell the tale of the trip! haha! that and I need to get these ribs looked at! We figure the drive to Spokane will be about 12 hours. 12 hours total including stops, the way we drive we can do it! GPS says 12 hours not including stops ... we can do better!

We head next door as the sign outsides states best breakfast in town. WHAT! how can you not be open at 7am if you are the best breakfast in town? We dont have time ...

... the window now. With the flights they rebooked me on I received a ****** eight hour layover too. Yay!


The feeling was similar to when I lost my car in Brisbane. I found out where my car was, but I still had to wait a day to get it and see if it was ok. I got my flights rebooked, but I still had to sit around for a day until I could continue on my journey. On a side note, the hotel was very nice and believe it or not it was the first time I stayed in a hotel on my 8 month ...
