... and a couple of beers we headed for the dining room where we had seen a good menu for our evening meal, there were lots of locals eating there so knew it must be good, and it was.
You could spend hours at Tienanmen Square, we spent about three, it was a very hot dry day but it was awesome to see.

... women sitting on the sides playing cards, mahjong, or knitting. The park itself is also filled with groups of women exercising, small groups of musicians playing Chinese music, and couples dancing. This was legit China, something that you rarely see in Shanghai.

The Temple of Heaven complex is basically where the emperors would pray to the gods for a good harvest and make sacrifices. There were buildings just to keep the animals in that were going to be sacrificed.
