Packed our bags and checked out this morning, leaving our bags at the hotel while we had brunch. Then Kate went shopping while I went to the Met. To see museums I either need to allow a full day or two which is not an option when time is short or get a scooter or something. I loved what I saw of this incredible treasure trove. ... streets or anywhere for that matter will make you feel extremely uncomfortable by staring you up and down and sometimes or most of the time making sly little comments or even really offensive ones as we heard off a couple of girls on our tour. ... out and what the score was. It was so great to see day to day American life in motion. After quite a long chat, I moved on and found the park. What a lovely, surprising beauty of a place! Chess players lined the entrance as I walked through, surrounded by bright tulips and magnolias.
