    De laatste dagen in de USA zijn aangebroken en we bewegen ons weer langzaamaan richting Los Angeles. Vanmorgen uiterst relaxt opgestaan en tijdens het ontbijt even met het thuisfront geskypt. Omdat we ons de vorige keer een breuk gesjouwd hebben aan de tassen, besloten we dit keer eerst de huurauto op te halen en deze voor het hostel te parkeren …

    ... to the Boardwalk to ride some of the famous rides and all those that I’d done hundreds of time back in 84. We all got on the log ride, which we loved and then me and Thomas did the famous Giant Dipper. It was actually quite scary even for me now and Thomas was pretty shaken when he came off and didn’t want to do it again!

    ... to relax. Viewed Puget Sound and snowed covered mountains from the Parlour Car meeting up with two attorneys from New York who were following their musician son around the States. As the white wine kicked in they began to loosen up. We had conversation about many things including politics, life and religion. Most interesting people. Also shared lunch with them in the dining car.

    ... note, not a Honeyhut) and swapped drivers. We saw signs everywhere telling us about the dangers of rockfalls. Some areas of the road had the sides of the hill covered in a net so I'm guessing these were particularly unstable. Other things seen today were a plethora of tourists in mustang convertibles, our first squirrels, evidence of a couple of recent rockfalls and a driver who tried to kill us by overtaking on double unbroken lines whilst heading towards us. ...

    ... a nice drive down 17 mile drive, checking out the nice homes and beautiful weather, and eventually ending at the pebble beach resort at Spanish bay. Thanks to Nicole, we had reservations at 7 at Peppoli and a special custom menu! The service was wonderful and the food was outstanding! Check out the pictures for more detail.
