    ... of the beach and boardwalk. There were sea lions swimming everywhere, all around the pier, and viewing holes in the deck showed many of them sleeping and chilling on the wooden beams.

    It was now sunbathing time so we found a nice spot on the beach and started to get our tans on for an hour or so. It was that perfect temperature to lay in. I was very happy.

    ... really looking forward to that one) full of old planes, cars, bombs, rockets and memorabilia. After lunch( which was large enough to feed a small nation - and it was just a sandwich ) Julia suggested a more scenic route to Carmel by the Sea - more direct were the words I think I heard.     ... they had a proper toilet ! I ordered breakfast for us – an Apricot Croissant and another with a glaze and flaked almonds on top which they called a “Bear Claw”. That together with the Latte which we shared was very satisfying.







    The pastries were the best I have ever had (sorry, no photos as we ate them with gusto !!) - really delicious with plenty of apricot filling while the bear claw had lovely almond meal ...

It took several tries and as she struggled around and into the fairway we saw the problem. She was still dragging the crab pot line. Her turn around us swept the line under our boats.
