... can have a coffee when we arrive. Had the coffee with a cake but the Kempsey Supercheap did not have a bracket that suited as it is a smaller store. As I wanted to get the antenna installed before it rained again we returned to the Supercheap store in Port Macquarie and got the bracket I needed. Big improvement on radio reception.

... got on to the Pacific Highway to travel up the coast. On the map the Pacific Highway appears to hug the coastline as it works it’s way north. However due to the vastness of Australia, what looked to be near the coast on the map was actually several km inland most of the way meaning that we didn't see the Pacific once along the Pacific Highway...a slightly misleading name for a road.

... but I decided to try to snorkel anyway, seeing as I'd lugged my stuff with me. For the first time on my trip the sea actually felt chilly! Though it still didn't take me long to get in and it felt fine once I was in.
