... made out tea, had a pizza for tonight as there was a mini oven! It got a bit burnt but wasn't bad. Sat in the tv room for a bit longer then went and had showers, mine were alright, though the whole place was made of corrugated sheets, which was as strange. Ari said hers had opaque glass between the showers.

... of saving, nursing and caring for koalas for more than ten years and still keeps dips on the whereabouts of this one. Later on, we met her better half John, a real craftsman of wood sculpts, who gave me a leg up with finding work around here. Always great to have local fire power behind you and with the prospect of staying in Port sometime longer, I'd do just about anything :) Do come back for more, as we're definitely gonna swing by the koala hospital tomorrow. Our next stop was Grafton – we stopped at the Information bureau which was next to a Maccas which was ALL upstairs … so if you wanted a coffee, you had to climb the stairs …. What a great idea .. I’m sure it would put a lot of fast food addicts off their burgers and chips, ...

Unofrtunately on that day we were subjected to our very first Australian thunder storm and the rain came down like that from a power shower head and our clothes were drenched beyond immediate rescue. We crashed out once we got home, the overly expensive beer having more of an effect than it should’ve after a weeks detox from drink.

... birthday. Sleepy, contented teddies so off to bed.

Up and out for breakfast at the Rainforrest cafe on Ocean Highway south of Port Macquarrie. Lovely stopping place and a great breakfast. Next stop Lighthouse Beach. This beach is stunning and goes on for miles and miles and miles. We must have walked for more than two hours, but is was beautiful. On our walk we saw surfers, fishers and camels!!!
