      ... up at a free dock at Fishy Fishy Seafood and had lunch. Finished eating and sat in the boat, still socked in. A patch of blue showed up and I thought the fog was finally clearing. Wrong! We crept out of Southport with maybe 50 ft viz at dead low tide that was just starting to reverse.       ... many gracious people on this trip & got to know them personally.
      We will have a nice breakfast out and take advantage of this classy place tomorrow Am. Drew is holding up but hope to have Dr. apt. in line tomorrow am.

      ... sold on tap at that pub. We got to try 3 different options and they were all pretty darn tasty. I even didn’t mind the IPA which is my least favorite beer. We asked him about places to go in town and he suggested Bon Appetit, a brunch place known for southern food. We put that fact in our pocket and walked around a bit more.       We awakened this morning to 44 degrees, 20 mph northeast wind, and an anchor that was buried in the hard sand bottom of Banks Chanel, After considerable effort and super numb hands, Maggie and I got the anchor up and aboard as we headed down Masonboro Sound and the short cut thru Shinn Creek to the ICW. Now we were headed dead downwind and that lessened the effect of the bone chilling wind.

      ... there you can tour, but we didn't. I think the best part of Wilmington was the old houses, reminded me a little of Charleston, SC. I just love that character and charm!

      During our stay we ate at the following places: Shuckin Shack (not a great place to take kids) it's all fresh seafood, literally right off the boat, hence the name Shuckin. Island Hots (kid friendly) was a great lunch place. They mostly have hotdogs, with fries, ...
